A Day in the Life at Hackney Care for Kids
Morning Welcome
Each day begins with a warm welcome, gentle settling, and familiar staff—helping your child feel secure and ready to explore.
Play & Learning
Children enjoy rich play experiences that spark curiosity, from small-group learning to outdoor adventures in our welcoming garden.
Lunch & Rest
Children enjoy a nutritious home-cooked lunch together, building social skills and independence, followed by calm activities suited to their needs.
Afternoon Exploration
Afternoons bring more opportunities for imagination and discovery, from storytelling and role play to creative and sensory play.
Snack Time
A light, healthy snack helps children recharge, refuel their energy, and stay alert, engaged, and focused for the final part of their busy day ahead.
Home Time
The day ends with calming activities and a smooth transition home, with warm handovers that keep you informed and reassured.

We are a warm, nurturing nursery in Stoke Newington with over 30 years of experience, offering a home-from-home environment where children feel safe, supported, and ready for school, guided by the EYFS and our Nurture Pathway.
We welcome children aged 6 months to 5 years, with rooms designed to support each stage of development from babies to preschool.
Yes, we provide 15 and 30 hours of funded childcare for eligible families, support Tax-Free Childcare, and currently offer 25% off fees for the first two months for new families.
We are open Monday to Friday, 8:00am–6:00pm, for 50 weeks per year. We close for one week in summer, one week at Christmas, all Bank Holidays, and three staff training days each year. Fees remain payable during closure periods, as well as for children’s sickness or family holidays.
We strongly encourage a visit before applying to meet our team, explore the nursery, and see daily life in action.
